Cam was awarded the OSCAR DE L’EMBALLAGE 2016 for the secondary packaging automation in the production category.
The packaging Oscar is a prestigious award organized by Emballages Magazine with the support of important French associations that are involved in technology and packaging. The prize-giving took place on November 14th in the Elysées Biarritz setting, very close to the Champs Elysées, in conjunction with the inauguration of the Salon de l’Emballage, the international packaging exhibition held in Paris.
Cam was given this award thanks to the innovative solution it presented for the cartoning of syringes, which was developed in close cooperation with CAM production plants located in Italy, CAMPAK France, CAM sale subsidiary in France, and Sanofi.
This cooperation led to a highly innovative, completely recyclable packaging system able to remarkably reduce material requirements. Heart of CAM solution is the high speed continuous motion HV cartoner, an extremely flexible reliable machine, with very high performance levels.
This solution has fully met the needs for very high placing accuracy ensuring thus a correct assembly and a complete integrity of every element, even with very high production speeds; a mix of extremely unusual conditions for a cartoner that other suppliers have not been able to satisfy.
The solution represents a secondary packaging with an overall volume reduced by half compared to the conventional packaging, thus reducing by a third the resources used for materials and transport.
